Petzl ANNEAU – Sewn Polyester Sling
The Petzl ANNEAU is a sewn, closed-loop sling designed for setting up a belay or anchor point and for extending an existing anchor. It is suitable for mountaineering as well as professional work-at-height and rescue applications.
The sling is made of polyester and provides a breaking strength of 22 kN. Petzl offers four color-coded lengths for quick identification: the 60 cm sling is yellow, the 80 cm version is blue, the 120 cm version is green and the 150 cm version is red.
Color-Coded and Black Versions
The color coding makes it easier to organize equipment and distinguish between lengths. Black versions in 60, 80 and 120 cm are also available for professional, tactical or visually discreet applications.
Petzl does not list a black 150 cm version in its official reference table.
Applications
Depending on the selected length, the ANNEAU can be used to set up a belay, create a suitable anchor or extend an existing anchor point. The different lengths allow the sling to be adapted to a range of structures and configurations.
The sling is certified to EN 566 as mountaineering equipment and EN 795 Type B as a transportable anchor device. It is not adjustable and does not provide energy absorption.
