Suede upper, protective rand and sole construction
The tongue and collar use stretch textile. A protective rand and rubber toe cap complement the suede in areas exposed to wear. The extended lacing lets you adjust the hold along the foot.
Underfoot, the Dynamis LB sole combines Vibram Litebase technology with Megagrip rubber. A dual-density EVA midsole is complemented by an ergonomically shaped TPU anti-torsion insert.
Is the Mescalito right for your route?
Consider this model if you want a low-cut approach shoe for the walk to the crag, rocky hiking trails or via ferrata routes. Whether a low-cut shoe suits your particular trip also depends on the terrain, weather and your experience.
Try the shoes with the socks you plan to wear. Check for secure heel hold and enough room for your toes when walking downhill. The medium last provides a starting point; the actual fit on your foot is what matters.

Frequently asked questions
Does a water-repellent upper make the whole shoe waterproof?
No. Here, water repellency describes the suede upper. It does not establish that the complete shoe is waterproof.
How do I choose the right size?
Compare sizes with the socks you plan to wear. Your heel should stay secure while your toes have enough room, including when walking downhill. A fixed size increase does not suit every foot.
Can the Mescalito be resoled?
Yes. Scarpa identifies this model as resoleable. Have wear assessed early; whether a repair is possible depends on the condition of the whole shoe.
