Ocun Havoc – Versatile Performance Climbing Shoes
The Ocun Havoc combines precision and sensitivity with a comparatively comfortable fit. These performance climbing shoes are designed for bouldering and sport climbing, providing precision on small footholds and direct surface contact on slabs and modern indoor volumes.
Their versatile configuration also makes the Havoc suitable for indoor climbing, outdoor rock and multi-pitch routes.
All-round Last with Moderate Asymmetry
The All-round last features moderate asymmetry and a neutral downturn. This creates a performance-oriented foot position without making the Havoc as aggressive as a heavily downturned competition shoe.
Ocun designed the last for regular to wide feet. Its shape is particularly suitable for Egyptian and Roman toe profiles.
Soft Construction for Direct Contact
The soft construction improves sensitivity on footholds, volumes and friction-based features. Ocun uses its flexible 2D Toe Soft midsole construction.
The 4 mm outsole is made from Ocun CAT Rubber 1.5. It supports precise foot placement while maintaining the direct contact required for technical bouldering and sport climbing moves.
3D Toe Patch for Technical Toe Hooks
A three-dimensionally shaped CAT Rubber 1.5 toe patch increases the usable rubber surface around the toe box. This improves friction and control during toe hooks and similar technical movements.
The seamless heel construction helps reduce pressure points and supports comfort during longer climbing and training sessions.
Dual Velcro Closure and Elastic Tongue
Two opposing Velcro straps wrap around the foot and allow precise adjustment. They also make it quick to open and close the shoes between attempts.
The elastic tongue makes the shoes easier to put on and supports a close fit. Two heel pull tabs assist when putting them on.
Upper and Construction
The upper is made from microfiber. According to Ocun, the Havoc is 100% vegan and contains no animal-based materials.
The climbing shoes are handcrafted in the Czech Republic.
Fit and Sizing
According to Ocun, the Havoc is best suited to regular-width feet while its roomier toe box also accommodates wider feet. The last works particularly well with Egyptian and Roman toe shapes.
Most climbers choose the same size as their regular street or sports shoes. For a tighter, performance-oriented fit, Ocun recommends going half to one UK size smaller. As the correct size depends on foot shape, preferred fit and personal comfort, trying the shoes on is recommended.
